Bling on Love

I’m playing along at Maxabella Loves…

I love my engagement ring because he chose it.  I love my wedding ring because I designed it.  I love them both because of what they mean.  However, I absolutely adore these…

Thumb-cuffs, from the Old Melbourne Gaol

He’d said we’d never get married, and I was slowly starting to resign to this truth.  On holidays in Melbourne my hubby proposed on the St Kilda Pier.  I got a nice shiny ring and was gleefully happy.  A few day’s later he went to the Old Melbourne Gaol with friends and I went shopping.  When we caught up again he gave me a souvenir – a ball and chain, and the thumb cuffs.  Quickly he clicked them onto us both, and we were linked together.  It was such an innocent and sweet action that cemented my love that little bit more.  We could still be “grown up” and engaged, while still being young loves who played childish games and locked out thumbs in cuffs.  It was so him.  It was so us.  And a piece of Bling I will never forget.

This totally rocks, Kristie! What a surprising and delightful fave piece of love bling. Says a lot about your relationship and how you are made for each other.

Pop over to my blog on 14 Feb to link up your post with the rest of the gang. x
