Heartfelt – 1

While we were in hospital, we organised for a photographer from Heartfelt to come and photograph Avery and our family. I will do a couple of blog posts on Heartfelt, but to start with, here are some of the photos taken on that night.

Click on each photo to read some thoughts about each moment – then click the photo again for the large version.

These photos are so incredible, even if you were a stranger I’d be a bit struck with reverence looking at them. Each one is far more than a moment, but a perfectly preserved moment all the same.

I really feel reverence.

Kristie and family thank you so much for having the strength to share these photo’s with us. My connection to you is through our first born children and our time together through mothers group watching them grow. My thoughts are with and I send you my strength. Avery is a beautiful little boy and the love your family has for him oozes from the photo’s on screen. You are a wonderful loving and strong mother who I admire.

Thank you so much for your lovely blog posts. I am a photographer registered with heartfelt, though I have not yet had the call to share a family’s grief and have the privilege of photographing a stillborn baby.
These photos, and your generosity in sharing them, have only added to my belief that the Heartfelt organisation does very valuable work. I hope that by sharing your experience you will help others who find themselves in that unimaginable moment to also call for a Heartfelt photographer.
My very best wishes to your family,
Caro xx
