Housekeeping and Random Stuff

No. Not THAT sort of house keeping.  Bloggy House Keeping.

I need to sort some of the stuff out on this blog.  I have been reading all of the posts from people like Where’s My Glow, Kate Says Stuff (I mean, Picklebums!), Yay For Home et al about what they took away from the Pro Blogger event in Melbourne recently (omg. jealous much?).

So, I am going to add and rejig some buttons over on the right, add some new posts, fix up my About Me section and hopefully get a new commenting plugin working on my blog (’cause the one I tried yesterday would not activate!).  I am hoping it works today.

If you come across a few snags in the blog, then that may be why.

—————–

Whooo Hoooo.  it is almost NaNoWriMo time!  And I am going to do it this year.  Last year was a dismal failure (I found out I was pregnant 3 days prior and could not function.  This year is going to be different.

I am going to write Avery’s story.

That puts me into the Rebel’s World of NaNoWriMo.  Not breaking the rules per-se, just bending them a little bit.

So while not a Novel (a piece of fictional writing), I AM hoping to write a book.  Enough people visiting here have said I should do it, so my standard response now is “I am! In November!”

In trying to psych myself up to get this book happening and helping to pave the way to success, I have given my book a working title and even a cover so that I have a bit of a visual boost to keep going and do what I need to do.

Want to see?

Stupid questions, I know! Here you go…

oooh.  I get a bit shivery when I see it.

A little hiccup in the plan of NaNoWriMo is that we are going away for a week during the month of November.  Going to go and visit family (yay!).  I am hoping I will get time to write 2000 – 3000 words a day. Or, at least, on those days that I don’t write I will be able to pick up the slack towards the end of the month.  November is a busy month! A week away, 2 birthday parties and of course the planning of Tara’s Party… *gasp!*

So. There’s a little bit about what’s going on around in the Garden at the moment.  Can we say crazy days?
