DPCON 2012 – Part One

*kerthump*

That is me falling on the floor in exhaustion.

It’s been, it’s gone and it was awesome.

My speech was so very very very well received. Oh, I cannot tell you what speaking to everyone meant to me. Well, actually I can – but I will leave that to a more detailed post.

I learned a lot.  I hugged a lot.  I cried a lot.  And I laughed and loved and cheered and tweeted like there was no tomorrow.

Exhaustion is an understatement.  Vertigo making it harder still.

It was a full on couple of days.  There are lots of things I am excited about, and a few ideas as to the direction I want Hespera’s Garden to go.

In the mean time, I am going to sit on the couch, nap a little and hug my girl a lot.  I have missed her.

Your speech was THE most memorable thing about DPCON12. And that’s saying something because it was all pretty good. Thanks for sharing. You are a gifted public speaker and should be out there sharing this story – because it will set women free. Enjoy some rest :)

Loved the privilege of sharing the table, and the speaking panel with you. Your voice, your passion, your anger, the rawness and the gentle memories of the birth and death of your beautiful boy will never leave me.
Thank you for your wonderful company and great courage. I look forward to chatting with you more. Much love, and rest xxxx

I found your speech so moving at DPCON. It was confronting and unbelievably sad.

I wish you a fantastic future and I hope you get there, after such terrible terrible grief.
